First full day in Manasota Key, Florida! Woke up to go jog with all my girls. Jogged down to Stump Pass Sate Park. 3.5 miles back and forth, sweaty! Nice and humid! Need to get up earlier to beat the heat. Nicholas did not join us. Home, quick breakfast then to the beach by 11:00am. Loaded up the beach cart and walked on over. High tide created some tide pools a lots of good shelling. Found some sharks teeth, shells and a few more sand dollars. Nicholas found a lot of sand dollars yesterday. The new sun shade worked well once Kim and I got it figured out and set up. Nicholas played with a little fish nibbling on a mangrove seed pod. Through the waboba ball around and mommy took one of the neck when Emily though it. She thought she was going to get knocked out by the ball because it hit her in her jugler vein. Also made went to Barefoot trader to souvenir shop, then bealls, where Nicholas outfitted himself in t-shirts. Then to wal-mart for more "necessities".
Off to Angelos for some pizza and alligator bread. Great pizza as usual but no alligator bread, they were out!
Home, and then to the beach for the sunset. Not much of a sunset do to the "African Dust." Real hazy. Kids looking for shells and enjoying the evening breeze on the beach! Beautiful!
Then walked over to our condo and watched the Opening ceremonies for the 2012 Olympic games.
Great First full day!
