Kat and I visited the Jorvic Viking Museum, where we went on a 'time machine' ride back to the year 975AD. We got to see what life was like back then - there was a myriad of mannequins going about their 8th Century business, whether it be trading in the marketplace or straining themselves on a smelly latrine (yes, there was an actual moving mannequin sitting on a toilet - the museum even pumps in smells to make the experience that much more authentic!) After the ride, you can walk through the rest of the exhibits to learn about Viking culture. Kat and I took the opportunity to try on all the Viking helmets available. Here's one of me with the heaviest helmet EVER (it even had chainmail attached) and holding a sword.
