Here is Kate and Beth (a.k.a. Maison Foo theatre) on the night of our Cabaret Shakespeare at the Old Clubhouse. We performed to an intimate audience of about 28, and all our shows were very well received. Kat performed "Best Before March 15th" (where Julius Caesar is married to a sausage), followed by Beth's "Richard's Rural Tour" (a cabaret song and dance between Richard III and Margaret); and Celia's "Hand in Hand" (where the 3 witches text Macbeth on being late). After a short interval, I performed my "Memento Mori" piece (and glad to say that the audience members thoroughly appreciated the free crisps and peanuts in the end!). My show was part of a 'Hamlet Trilogy" - Kate performed after me with "Ophelia's Garden" (where Ophelia gets to have her say to the other characters - including Shakespeare himself). The final act was Beth and (the other) Kate, with "The Murder of Gonzago" - a hilarious 'dumb show' based on the play-within-a-play in Hamlet. I loved watching all the other performances - it really was a fun night for all.
