This is the Children's Peace Museum, this memorial was errected after a little girl named Sadoko who was suffering from the effects of the Radition and after hearing the Old addage, "Make a thousand cranes and your wish will come true" she set out to fold a thousand cranes in Oragami. She managed to fold over a thousand cranes, However her wish to recover from her illness never came true as she died. This memorial is for Sadoko and for the thousand of children who died as a result of the initial bombing and from the after effects of the radition.
