Located at 3,812 metres above sea level, and on the border between Peru and Bolivia, is Lake Titicaca - South America's largest lake (based on the amount of water, at least). This is where Thor Heyerdahl got his reed from to build the Ra II, and e.v.e.r.y.b.o.d.y. knew about Mr. Heyerdahl, of course.
