Hi everybody, we're alive!!! We've been having a BLAST!!! Oh my God the last week has been amazing. Sorry for the lack of updates but we haven't been near a computer in almost a week. We caught a night bus from Cairns to Arlie beach (where we had our first encounter with a scummy hostel) then the next morning it was off to sea for 3 days, then onto another night bus to Hervey bay, spent one night in the hostel there and 6:00 the next morning got a 4X4 and camped on Fraser Island for 3 days and now back to the hostel. We have had 2 showers in just over a week. So...the lack of access to showers reflects our access to computers. Nil. Anyway, this is just a quick note to tell you that we are alive and we have some amazing photos and great postcards in the works. We just need to find a minute to post them! It is now 7:00pm July 1 (HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and we got back to our Hostel about 1 hour ago. We're trying to figure out how we can make it to the Australia zoo tomorrow. It may require another overnight bus tonight. So , when we eat and figure that out we'll try to get another postcard on here. Thanks for all the great messages, we love reading them. We miss you. We'll have a glass of goon (bad wine that comes in a box) to toast Canada Day. Cheers!

Hi Mike @ Nina,Well this web page has been pretty dull the last few days, there must be some exciting things to come. I guess you are putting together some great pictures for us to view. It's 7 AM on Friday June 30 getting ready for the long weekend with Janet, Steve and the kids. We will have Claire sing O'Canada with you two in mind. Hope all is gioing well and each day brings you a lifetime of great memories. By now your trek through Australia is starting to wind down and your venture to Fiji is soon going to be a reality. Anita you must be getting very excited about visiting your Dads home and meeting all those relatives you only heard stories about plus visit and tour a country so far from you home. Lots of good things to come your only starting week three tomorrow. Thinking of you everyday, keep well and safe.

Hey there guys! WOW! I just went to the resturant to pick up something for supper and your mom told me where you were and what you are doing. I had to check it out for myself. It looks like sooooooooooooo much fun. I wish you all the excitement that one can have and the experience of a life time. I have this site bookmarked now so I will be following your trip. Megan really enjoyed the pictures as well. She wants to see the pictures of NEMO though, so Mike, we have not met but I am already asking favours, can you post them so we can see? I hope the rest of your trip is as enjoyable as what the first part of it has turned out to be. Looking forward to the pictures of Fiji as well. Take care, be safe and return home in one piece so we can talk about your trip and see all the pictures.

Hi Guys,
Looks like you are having the trip of a lifetime. It's far more exciting than life here in Ottawa. The most snorkling I do these days is in Jane's little Ladybug pool!
Take care and be safe. We can't wait to see the next installment of the great adventure. You should go on the Amazing Race next.

Hi Anita (Nina!) and Mike. . . Your website is amazing and the pics are unbelievable. This is the first chance I've had to check out your website. I've spent the last 4 days and 3 nights at Guide camp where it rained and rained and I had to listen to 14 cranky 12 year old girls. I come home and then look at this website and believe me I'm green with envy!
I'm glad you guys are having such a great time and finally taking the trip of a lifetime. Anita like Allison said keep a little energy reserved to see us when you get home and Mike please keep rescuing her because we'd like to see her again soon!
Keep having a blast, post more pics when you get a chance and keep safe.
