So we're in Sydney. A happily uneventful and dull pair of long haul flights, with a brief sojourn around Incheon Airport in Seoul were most satisfactory. Asiana Airlines were very good, and Koreans are obsessed with cute babies (a pleasure intitially to be inundated with cooing South Koreans peering into the buggy - tiresome after the 53rd or so time...)
Anyway, the flights were fine, and Isabella was as good as gold. Struck up a nice rapport with another British family who were doing much the same thing as us, both nervous about how bad the flights could be if respective little 'uns created the whole time - happily not the case.
Sydney is rather nice (albeit colder than the UK). Had a couple of strolls down to the harbour, taking in the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Went out on the boats to the zoo yesterday - an excellent zoo, with a cable car sky ride to get to the entrance and a well laid out walking trail with superb views of the Sydney skyline (we'll get some pictures online in due course, the pc in this cafe not liking our camera memory card). Had a lovely family photo taken next to a koala. Koalas sleep for up to 20 hours a day, then do sod all for the other 4 hours. A lifestyle to aspire to.
Met up with Mary and Brad (for those who know them), and also Richard (for those who know him) yesterday evening, for a few beers and witty banter.
Booked in to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb tomorrow, with a babysitter booked for Izzy from one of the local nurseries rocking up to the hotel to take care of her. Google the Bridge Climb if you're interested, it looks magnificent.
Interesting fact - it's more expensive than London here. By some distance. The dollars are disappearing at a rate of knots.
Til next time - strewth.
