Hi, it all sounds wonderful, apart from the long coach journeys, I grew to hate those in India. What a brilliant trip and you are only 3 weeks in, still loads to come - all those lovely sights and different foods to try - we are all very jealous. I have been microwaving soup for lunch at work recently, had a very nice pea and ham soup, it's hardly life on the edge, not like ducks feet and snails !!! Time Team are coming to Dean's Yard next week, digging next to the Abbey, even this does not compare with turtles, mountains, tunnels, firing guns and floods - actually the office basement got flooded in a stiorm but only about an inch deep, it's not the same is it !!

I think that you paint a real and scary image of what it was like getting through the flood water coupled with officialdom/corruption and not knowing what had happened to the rest of your group. Onions in your omlette? - this is more what travelling is about!

Hi both of you, loved the pictures the dragon in particular. The killing fields sound a bit extreme and the food looks a bit extreme. I hope mike isn't starving. Mind you Linda,k Steve and the girls are coming over for dinner on Sunday which is never a positive experience eihter, so i shouldn't be criticising other peoples cooking.
