Firstly a humungoooose SAWASDEE to everyone back at home!
Just a quick e-mail to let everyone know how we are getting and make you all very jealous! Bangkok is a crazy place when we are not dodging tuk tuks flying down the road a break neck speeds we are wowing beautiful thai buildings and monuments or having a cheeky stare at the monks. Life out here is as cheap as it comes! Last night we bought a bucket (and we mean a bucket!) or rice whisky, redbull and coke for 160 BHT or 1 squids-ish! that got us nicely merry indeedy!
We have ben on a ferry tour boat up the river and saw sum mad sights- shanty towns and skyscrapers! Funny mix! We made our way up to the Grand Palace- after being told by many a thai man that " it closed today, come with me" what knobheads!The Grand Palace was amazing with beautiful ornate buildings and scarey thai police! The Golden Buddah sitting in a jewel encrusted hall was the best (a huge golden buddah)- its really making me realise how boring our religions are! After that we mad our way to Th Ko San Road ( mad hippy/ party street). Mike and i had our first street vendor Pad Thai but opted for the veggie option for safety reasons! A mear snip at 25 BHT or 15p!
All in all everything is fantastic and we are absolutely loving it- feels like we have ben away ages! Tomoro we are leaving Bangkok (Boo!) and making our way to Ko Tao or turtle beach for our diving corse.
