Whitianga .... (Fit-e-ung-a) Not long here, only 1 night. We stopped off at a place called Cathedral Cove. It was a beach walk to a nice beach which had a huge cave archway to walk through. Nadi We arrived in Fiji airport and departed our plane to Fijian men wearing Hawaiin looking outfits playing the guitar and singing Fiji songs! We got told at the airport to go to a place called 'Bamboo'. We got a taxi there, the owner was obviously on drugs, he took us to see the room but couldnt find the light switch so we couldnt even see it! We decided it might be a good idea to go elsewhere. Sydney We arrived in Sydney at around 11 am on the 11th January. Took us 17hours to get here on a bus so were pretty tired. Checked in at oour Hostel called 'Wake Up' which was a really good hostel. We had a walk down to the Opera House and walked through the Botanical Gardens which was really nice. Everything in Sydney is called London names...eg. Hyde Park...Westfields... Gold Coast - Surfers Paradise We arrived in Gold Coast really late after leaving Noosa. The bus kept on being delayed and we ended up getting to Surfers Paradise around 2 hours late, about 10pm. We hadn't booked any accommodation because we thought it would be okay...even though it was New Years...ooops! We found out it wasn't okay.
