Franz Josef

We got to Franz Joseph and went straight to sleep, we had booked an 8 hour glacier hike for tomorrow so need to get rid of the headache and catch up on some sleep.

We all wore hats, gloves, t-shirts, shorts, sun glasses and ridiculous boots. So we all looked silly. We were in a group of 8 and when we saw the Glacier we were all expecting to be able to walk to the top of it! However, it was acually alot bigger than we thought and it was going to take us 5 hours to get less than half way up it! The ice was freezing, we all did Dumb and Dumber and licked it but our tongues didnt get stuck!!? We had to walk through really narrow ice walk ways which fat people would definitly not get through and we climbed into ice holes. We all got little pick axes which was fun. Our friend Kerry had to be rescued by a helicopter because she had somehow done her knee in, which was exciting. The hike was amazing :) We got lots of photos and the scenery was soo good. This is the only glacier which is in the middle of the rainforest!

Out of everyone in our group....Kla was the only one that couldn't hold it and had to make yellow snow!
