Our December 2007 London Trip:
In 2003 I found a paper that my husband wrote indicating his dream travel destination..being that he is a history buff he expressed a great interest in visiting London..although we are both afraid of flying I love the idea of exploring new territories and I suggested that one day we visit London. The idea became a reality in December 2007. Upon our arrival to Heathrow airport we were exhausted..the time difference really took a toll on us...after a long train ride and time spent searching for our hotel we finally arrived to our destination. We could not wait to get in a few hours of sleep before venturing out into this magnificent country. When we attempted to check in we were informed we were too early and had to wait a few hours before checking into our room. We left our luggage and took a stroll..We could not keep our eyes open so we went to the local grocery store and found a starbucks..we managed to find some comfy couches to lounge in...as we sat there both my husband and I couldnt help but slowly nod our heads as we fell asleep. We both tried fighting the fatigue and decided to take a long walk... as we walked through the neighborhood toward the British museum..my tiredness overcame my excitement and i felt as if I were not in London..I had no emotions and literally felt like a zombie...
After a nice long nap we met up with one of my husband's colleauges (who coincidentally was traveling to London to visit his girlfriend) for a nice Indian dinner. This was the beginning of our London adventure...
We walked everywhere and traveled the Tube to all of our destinations..we visited Abbey Road and took some Beatle pics...we vistited the London Eye, took pics of Big Ben and went to all kinds of museums..on Christmas day we took a nice walk throught the London Bridge and the river walk...we took lots of nice pictures to capture the memories of this adventure...on our final day we visited the King Tut exhibit complimentary tickets from my husband's colleague...that was a great exhibit and great to have experienced it in London...great trip filled with unforgettalbe memories...
