ok so alot has happened since my last blog entry. i'm down in sydney now but i've been all the way down the east coast since i last wrote something. After long island i went down to rockhampton for a night and stayed at a farm which was pretty spectacular. we had a cooked roast and the owners of the farm put on a spooky theme night as it was friday the 13th. we also got to try whip snapping which is alot harder than it looks. on the 14th we went over to fraser island where we stayed for 2 nights. in that time we had a fancy dress party down at the dingo bar. i went on a bush walk, explored the beach and got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets.
Once we left Fraser island we travelled down to Surfers Paradise. its a very built up tourist place but still a beautiful place. and one of my favourite stops on the trip, mainly because i got to go to Draculars restaraunt. A place where you ride a ghost train to get into the restaraunt where your greeted by vampired and ghouls who lead you to your table offering you a 3 course meal and drinks from a selection of seven sin shooters and jello shots served in syringes. the food was great and i especially liked the desert which was icecream served in a chocolate coffin. while eating we got to watch a burlesque show which was performed on the stage right by where we ate. It was a brilliant night and i had my photograph taken with the draculettes to remember the occasion.
on the 18th we travelled down to coffs harbour to Mojo surf camp which is in a little place called Arrawarra. This was my favourite place by far on the whole trip. I got to surf; something that i have fell in love with and will definately be continuing.
Then on the 19th we travelled down to Port Stevens to a place called Shoal bay where we stayed in a 5 star resort and spa. was a nice change from the shipping containers and eco lodges we'd been staying in the rest of the trip but i dont think i'd like to stay there for a long period of time. There wasnt much to do except dolphin watching, and that was a bit of a wash as we only saw them for few minutes and then they were gone.
Thats brings us up to date. On the 20th i came down to Sydney where i met up with my Auntie Hayley and this will be my second night here. Going to go exploring in the week so i should have more to tell you then. xx
