Wed 4th - Fri 13th Dec (Weeks 10-11)Wed 4th - Caught the 9am bus down to Punta Arenas, arriving at 11:45. Furthest South we will go on this trip, but literally just to get to the airport and fly out ! Flew the short 2 hour hop up to Puerto Montt, arriving at 4pm. Then caught a shuttle bus to the bus station, followed by a little micro bus to Puerto Varas, 20 mins away, finally arriving around 6:30pm - long day of travelling! Mon 25th Nov - Tues 3rd Dec (Week 9-10)Mon 25th - Left the hostel in Sao Paulo at 7am - missing our great breakfast - and joined the morning rush hour crowd on the metro with all our bags ! Then caught the airport shuttle and arrived at 9am for our 11am flight - perfect. Took out more Brazilian Reals, and changed them for US$ ready for our black market exchange in BA ! Tues 19th - Sun 24th Nov (Week 8-9)Tues 19th - caught the local bus to the airport, and took the 12:50pm flight to Rio de Janeiro. Short 2 hr hop and landed at 3pm, but getting our bags, cash, and catching the bus to Ipanema took us until 6pm ! The traffic in Rio is pretty crazy, and the bus drivers drive like they're in the Grand Prix - you do not want to get in the way of them ! Sun 17th & Mon 18th Nov (Week 8)Sun 17th - Had a wonderful day at the Argentina side of Iguassu Falls today. Caught the local bus to the park, and arrived in time for the first train around the park at 8:30am. Fri 8th - Sat 16th Nov (Week 7)Fri 8th - Spent the day catching up on research and sorting out photos after our Uyuni trip, then went to the San Pedro museum in the afternoon, but had seen it all in about 10 mins as they had removed all the mummies in 2007, so barely anything there !
