We rode out of Nuts n chocs and pretty soon encountered a huge change in that the desert sands made way for amazing wetlands, swamps, fishermen and greenery! the border into senegal was pretty full on and took nearly 6hrs at the supposedly easier crossing at Diama - compared to rosso. i took charge of talking the talk and managed to avoid / seriously minimise the bribes we had to py. i even got some cred from a police control official for not giving into his bluf...

After the last update in Dahkla i unexpectadly saw loads and loads of kitesurfers! Had a rest day there which actually turned out to be pretty full on. We are just about finished with our time in Morocco/Western Sahara. The hilghlights have, as i find so often in my travel, been the people. The hospitality has been phenominal and we have met very many intersting people. Stopping for elevensies and tea with locals is a highlight each day. Back in Rabat we did really wel getting the 3 visas in only 2 days and from there went south into the Atlas mountains. I fel sick, very sick but it only really lasted a day but...

Made it across Europe in 8 days! Had a great time but did loads of riding. Thanks to Andrea and Miriam for the stay in Munchen, Germany and also Giggi bru and family in Austria. Had a great time, and rested well. Met up with Ben, Kate and Tim the night i spent in france (about 4 days ago) so its nice now to be with a group.
