Our first trip overseas and instead of saying goodbye to our family at the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT we had to do it at the Perth domestic airport on our way to Ballarat in Victoria... Needless to say some were disapointed about the anti climax of the Goodbyes that they even fell asleep... (we ended up waiting 3hrs prior to take off when only 1/2hr is required and so we started on the wine & Coctails at the airport bar) All the same tears were wept by all and our excitement was almost boiling!!! WE LOVE QANTAS... Free Food Free Drinks (Soft, Juice, Hot & Alcoholic!!) Free Pillows, Free Blankets (Both of which we ended taking off the plane & Kept) Free In Flight Movie (Take the Lead) FANTASTIC.. (the free stuff not the movie) However trying to sleep with 1/2 a plane full of High school Kids behind you TALKING ALL NIGHT. Defently not Fun (No Offence Kimbo) Touching down tired & Cranky we were greeted by a Happy, Excited, Hyped Up Aaron who was so kind as to drive 1.5hrs to the airport, Pick us Up & drive 1.5 Hrs all the way back at 5am (He was so keen to see us he ended up ariving an hour early! What The...?) Once at Aaron & Blair's (In Ballarat) we zonked out on the couch till the arvo. Being Great Hosts Blair cooked Brekkie and had arranged a few things for us to do whilst we were there. we Hung around the house playing games & catching up. We all headed into town & whilst Aaron worked Blair, J & I went for a drink and then to the movies to see Pirates of the Carobeian*. (pritty bad movie!!!) leaving that we all headed back to A&B's place for Pizza & Beer!!! and lets not forget.... Circle of Death!!! BOWW BOWW BOWW!!!! FOOTBALL DAY!!! COLLINGWOOD Vs FREMANTLE Waking up a bit hug over & in a bit of a rush. we pack our bags for melbourne and go to the football at the MCG. I started backing for Freo but after Half time & Collingwood were down J was getting quiter distressed so..."COME ON THE PIES" but I think I ended making to worse :( Meah, Its only a game.... We checked in to "Hotel BakPak" for the next two nights (with more high school kids) played Pingpong & Pool Watched a bit of TV & had a drink or two and went to bed. A Big thanks to Aaron & Blair who shared their home with us and showed us around a V. Small Ballarat. Thank you to Aarons Mum Carol who drove us to Melbourne & the Backpackers Love you all!!! xxx
