Day 12 and 13

Late yesterday afternoon, we arrived in Wertheim to meet our host families from Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium where we will have the opportunity to get to know them for the next 4 days.

Today we spent the day in Stuttgart, approximately a 2 hour drive by bus from where we are staying. We started the day at 8am and arrived back at the school at 7pm. Even though it was a big day it was quite relaxing. Their way of life here is stress free, very different from home. Our first excursion for the day with our billets was to visit the Mercedes Benz museum - Awesome!!!! We all want to buy one. We then had lunch at the local shopping plaza - this market place was amazing - check out the presentation and effort that they put into exhibiting their products at the local deli. Ig only we had an esky, we could have bought sooooo such. Mr Depalo bought an octopus salad which all the teachers tried - it was just like his Mum's. Our second excursion for the day was to go to the Communication Tower to get a 360 degree view of Stuttgart - amazing!! We are at our hosts home tonight being very spoilt, had dinner freshened up and are (or should be) in bed ready for another eventful day tomorrow.
