Dear Diary,
Arrived in Saigon after a uneventful 5 hour coach journey (which is very rare for these parts).
Having been here before, if only briefly, it was alot more comfortable sorting out accommodation etc.
Went for a walk about on my first full day their & even did some cultural things like visit the art museum, which was actually really good & I took some sneaky picture of some of the works of art that caught my eye (the woman holding the child is my fav - itreally was stunning).
The post office was pretty cool as well. A fantastic building both outside & inside.
Saw some great sights along the way, local markets, traffic like you have never seen before. I even had a go at trying to cross probably one of the busiest junctions in Saigon. An easy task I here you say, well if there were set standards & laws on the road, maybe, but here anything goes. At one point I was stood in the middle of a 6 lane road (3 both ways) with traffic just speeding pasrt me!! Absolutely thrilling!!
I have to say that Saigon has so much to offer. It has alot of cultural things to do & go visit and the nightlife is one of the best I have experienced - I can honestly say that I love Saigon & can't wait to go back.
As I've spent more days in Vietnam than expected I have to fly to Cambodia (Siam Reap) in order to see the temples etc.
