MEL AND ZOE ON THE MOVE
We flew Sydney in the afternoon and arrived early evening. As per usual we had no hostel booked and found a tout at the airport who provided a free shutle from the airport.....the catch- the hostel was in the King's Cross- an area of he city infamous for its provision of adult entertainment! However it was a short walk to downtown and the sight, infact we could see the bridge from our window, and for 8 pounds a night thjat isn't too bad! We stayed 3 nights in Sydne (perhaps not long enough) but we managed to cram in all the sights and had a good night out so it was all good. From Sydney it was onto Byron Bay, on a 13hour overnight bus......bit of a nightmare but we managed to sleep some of the way and it saved us on accommodation costs!;always thinking about money! Byron Bay is an amazing place; the beach wicked and combined with good weather and a really chilled hostel, it made for a week sunbathing and generally doing nothing but beach in the day and drink at night! We even managed to fit in some viewings of neighbours and Home and Away(dont worry dad i won't give the storyline away!) Brisbane in Queensland was next, a five hour coach journey away.
