Hi - one last message from me too
I am all packed and ready to go - can't find my passport but am sure those nice thai people won't mind (only joking!)
Sam is at his holiday home in Aston Clinton - he gave the cat in the next cell a lovely welcoming hiss (he's so friendly ...)
I have tried to pack lightly although the case is full it doesn't weigh too much as I can actually lift it quite easily and you know how wimpy I am.
Waiting for Michelle to arrive and then I can get really excited. Looking forward to seeing you and some sunshine. Lots of love - Mum
ps - bye bye everyone else - xxx
Michelle
Hi Mel
Have decided to quickly type one last message into your message board. Hope you are looking forward to seeing us on sunday/monday (or whichever day you deign to grace us with your presence!) Totally excited about holiday, it felt like christmas when i woke up this morning only with the hope of some sun sometime in the future. Feels like only yesterday when we waved you off at heathrow but then ages ago at the same time. Hoping you have enjoyed your time in southern thailand and are suitably relaxed for when we rock up. Can't wait for some traveller-esque exploring, Thailand here we come!
Mel
Also Happy Brithday Uncle Paul!!! If I remember correctly it is soon day around now that you become 1 year older! Making you a very weathered 21 year old!!
Olivia

hope your southern thailand tour is as good as the northern one! my brother says you have to go to a full moon party while your there, he says its amazing and if i remember correctly he got so out of control that his girlfriend had to take him back to their hut!!

Michelle
Aaaah! This time next week we will be winging our way over to you. Totally exciting - I am talking loads more than normal today (according to Nick!) so must be starting to get hyper. Think I have everything I need but have not got round to checking where my passport is yet! Can't wait to try out those cheap markets. Never mind about the full moon party, the home office do not recommend going to them and i can't really see mum getting her groove on at an all night rave or whatever the hell they are! E-mail me with any more info I need before flying out and if you want me to bring anything specific for you. I have hobnobs and vitamin b1. Woo!
Michelle

Hello young traveller!
Everytime I read your journal entries and look at your photos, I sigh out loud saying how jealous I am of you. So pleased you're having a wicked time, it wont be long now until you're back, and I can't wait to hear all of your stories!
I bet you're off travelling again after your home a week, well at least planning your next big adventure... Again, STILL so jealous!!
Looking forward to see you soon,
Vic XXXX

hey mel!!
thailand sounds amazing (but then so has pretty much everywhere you've been)! sorry to hear about the ringworm! how the hell did you manage to catch it? usually you get it from scabby animals that carry it, i hope you haven't been petting any strays!! anyway hope you get some cream and get rid of it soon!!
still not missing anything here, apart from the apparent closing of the litten tree! (where will we go now)??
take care
lots of love

Hello Mel
Sorry to here you have ringworm. You are know officially gross! I looked it up and it is like athletes foot but just on your body. You need to get an anti-fungicidal cream. I'm sure they will have some in the pharmacy but if not let us know so we can bring some across! If it goes untreated for too long you cna have to take tablets for like a year to get rid of it so hurry up and get it sorted! Also i don't want to be sat next to a crusty on the beach.
Thanks for the advice about not wearing my bikini on the plane - very useful to know that is not advisable as that was exactly what I was planning on wearing. Close call!
PS Mum I would like to remind you that when skiing I had an undiagnosed massive cyst so feel it is hardly suprising I had to spend so much time in bed! I think managing to ski at all was an amazing feat in itself!
Michelle
Mum
Hi - I would just like to remind my daughters that when we went skiing - I said don't let me spoil your fun if I am too tired to do as much skiing as you too - you can go off without me whilst I lay on the bed and rest....... and who were the ones in bed whilst their mum was risking life and limb and being very adventurous and brave on a red run ........
I have ditched all my new clothes and am only bringing two t shirts and a pair of shorts and no shoes - and no straighteners ha ha.....
Mel
By the time we get mum home she is either going to be buying a Tuk Tuk, wearing Thai pants and no shoes and eating rice for breakfast.... or she is never going to talk to us again!! Either way I can't wait!!! Only joking mum!!
P.s Well done Nick on getting your dream job on University Challenge! You are indeed an Uber Geek... making you even more suitable for my big sister!!
