Quick update of what I have been doing the last week or so - After the Whitsundays I had an over night stop off at Capricorn Caves - Rockhampton! I went exploring in a cave that was full of bats! One of the caves had the same acoustics of the Sydney Opera House! All the lights were blown out and they played some Enya for us! It was pretty cool the sound that it made. You could even get married there. They only had two weddings a month at the moment and it is a bit odd getting married in a cave - but at the same time fairly cool!! We then had to find our own way out with just some candles! I found this quite scary as we had to squeeze ourselves through some small corridors but all in all it was a fun experience.
The next day we made our way to Harvey Bay - where we caught the ferry over to Fraser Island! I did a 4WD tour of the island which was really good - Fraser is a mixture of rainforests, fresh water lakes and as a 70 MILE beach! Pictured above - It had no one on it as the sea is so dangerous - which was really surreal as it was white sand and blue sea - minus sunbathers!! I liked Fraser Island alot - but again it was quite quiet and I am looking forward to getting to Surfers Paradise where there will be more people!
Still having fun though - So all good
