So - the next few days revolved around sleeping late (with mozzie net tightly tucked in place), choosing what to cook and when (the coffee machine and blender for making smoothies were major bonuses, and we mastered the art of making Chilli con Carne), debating about when would be the best time for a dip in the Caribbean ocean and a snooze on the beach, deciding whether our budget extended to a drink / meal 'out' (drinking 2-for-1 cocktails on the beach while a live rendition of 'No Women No Cry' played in the background seemed like too much of a cliche to be true!!), renting bikes and exploring the surrounding paths and villages, agonising over which book to read next and which hammock to lie in while perusing those pages, running for shelter when the tropical daily downpour arrived and doing some low-key planning of the next few weeks of our trip.
