Playa del Carmen Day 1Today was our final day as a group but as we wanted to spend some time together ahead of me disappearing diving for a couple of days we had a lie in whilst the others went off to Tulum. We all met in the lobby at 6:50am for taxis to the bus station. We arrived at Chichen itza around 10ish I think and already the tourist buses were stacking up. We all had to stash our backpacks in the luggage room as we were moving onto Playa del Carmen straight from the ruins on a different bus. Merida Day 1We had a 6:50am meeting time and the rain was thankfully holding off as the taxis came to take us to Palenque town for an 8am bus to Merida. The atmosphere was still a bit frosty from the previous evening but after the 8 hour bus ride to Merida things were seemingly back to normal.
