Well, maybe not trains (at least not yet).
After a couple conversations with our airline, we have a solution. Apparently a "weather advisory" means "sucks-to-be-you" in airline speak. (yeah I know air quotes)
Initially, we were told that we'd have to pay an ungodly amount to change our tickets (a 4 digit #) sooooo..
[audible throat gulp] deep clensing breath...
We hung up the phone. You, as my friends, know that I never beleive that these types of rules apply to me. So we got back on the phone, and after a talk with another agent, we got another solution. (a 3 digit #) Which involves two days in Charolotte before we can connect with our orginal flight to CDG ( Charles de Galle)
Also, we have to devine our own transport back to Nashville.
The flight was delayed 2 hours, and when it arrived it was one of those flying weed-whackers. But it got us here in one piece.
I speak to you now from the Lovely Airport (does it really matter, its near the airport) Hotel. Honestly, the hotel bar served me a fantastic grilled salmon sandwich with a pesto spread. Yum!
Now we wait...
