Arrived yesterday after being give complimentary upgrades on the flight. Bangkok is what we expected; an attack on all senses. Adam is loving the Thai style of eating. Chicken and rice for breakfast from the street vendor outside the hotel. Not got the balls to eat the suspicious meat on a stick just yet.
Have been to Chatuchak weekend market which was lots of fun and an insight into Thai life. I was particularly pleased with my 150 baht dress and all the elephant paraphenelia. The market was hot, extremely sweaty but full of bargains. Particularly the furniture and silk materials which were very beautiful.
We are currently in the hotel which offers the best price Thai massage we have seen and without the prostitutes. Afterwards we are going to head to Khao San Road for dinner and drinks. We couldn't go to the Grand Palace today as we thought it would busy as today is a Buddhist holiday. Looking forward to seeing something pretty in Bangkok when we go tomorrow.
Still can't believe we are here.
