We did get on our train, and although it was delayed by 2 hours and we got there 3 hours late, we got to Varanasi yesterday so all was ok. It was our last EVER train in India!
Varanasi is really nice along the Ganges. We have a balcony we can see the ghats from and last night we wandered along by the water and watched the religious ceremony (and saw the body burning ghats in the distance) that happens every night. This morning we got a boat for sunrise, although it was a little misty, and saw everything bathing and praying in the water. Some people were actually drinking the water, although it didn't look too nice...
We have our own personal rickshaw driver here and today he took us to see the university, some of the temples, and the silk weaving - its all done by hand and takes a month to make one table cloth! (a wedding sari can take 4 months!)
One more day here tomorrow, the we head off to Kathmandu on Sunday...
