It's SNOWING!
Yesturday at Monument Valley, we were in the most dreadful sand/wind storm we have ever experienced. At times, it was a complete white out and we could not see anything. The dust and sand got into everything and we sure had a mess to clean up. Winds were up to 60 mph. These winds lasted until aftet mid-night when it all of a sudden stopped!
This morning, after cleaning up the RV, (We have added some more photos of the RV upon request) we headed up to Cortez CO. Before leaving though, it started to snow! I didn't think it would amount to anything, but on our way up the highway it continued to follow us. When we pulled into Cortez, CO it turned into a full on snow fall, with snow accumulating close to an inch (See photo with Jonah and bikes!). However the ground was warm, and the snow didn't stay. We are now told that there could be snow flurries for the next few days. This is a low, because it means that many of the things we were planning to do could be canceled. We will have to wait and see.
We hope you are enjoying the blogs. It is a good thing for us to remember what has happened on our journey. However as you can imagine, there are so many things that we are experiening that we can not jot down, as there would not enought room and you would certainly get bored! But we hope you are enjoying what we are writing. We are certainly enjoying our time together and all that we are experiencing. This is truely a wonderful holiday!
