A late start to the day but we were still down to breakfast for 9am (fresh fruit, croissant, French toast and syrup and coffee-thanks for asking). We decided that a trip to Hanoi would not be complete without a little wander down to Bang Trang for the handmade ceramics. I was slightly overexcited as the last time I was in this situation (Marrakesh with McCadden) I got very carried away and had to sneak ma-hoosive bowls through security in my hand luggage-however...

Imagine yourself relaxing on a boat, cruising across the water with the sun on your back and the wind through your hair...can't? Oh sorry, that was ME today! Today was the eagerly anticipated Ha Long Bay. A 'four hour' mini bus journey from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay (which we've just found out is one of the NEW seven natural wonders of the world). I say 'four hours' because we went on a 'three hour' mini bus journey to koh samet and that was like riding through hell...

Obviously this morning was not a smooth one after last nights antics! However we managed to pop round to say goodbye to Rachel and co before climbing aboard the sky link to the airport. Seeing as it was a half hour journey it seemed fitting to have a power nap to start my day off correctly!
