Having just returned from a successful summer camp called 'The Rock' which was based in Monkton Combe near Bath, I have to say we are worn out!
A great week in which over 70 of us, a mixture of 14-18 year olds, helpers and leaders came to have fun, to have fellowship and to enjoy many activities, sports and games! The week went really well and we saw many answered prayers throughout!
Next for us is a week break in which (so far) we have travelled to Oxford to celebrate our 1st year anniversary (amazing how quickly time travels!) and also to enjoy some sightseeing, Thai food, and catch up with old friends. And now we find ourselves in Leicester with Matt's family. Matt's Mum is just recovering from an operation, so it has been good to spend time together as well as to enjoy a slightly more relaxed environment. It is nice to have a break!!
It's also an exciting time as we look forward to Ethiopia, and also in that - a little scary, especially as we start to give up our home, cars and jobs. For us both this is also a challenge to lean on God even more as we trust in his plans for us, and look forward to serving abroad!
So Lots to go back to in Swansea at the end of the week.. we have many injections still to come, travel visas, fund raising activities and most importantly a house to rent!! So please pray that in the next few weeks things come together!
