After 2 weeks of paradise we've been a bit slow with the blogging!! After our 3 nights in Bangkok we boarded our train to Surrathani. Our tickets said we had a sleeper but when we got on the train there were no beds to be seen. In China the trains had pre made beds, that we walked past on our way to our stinky seats! So we were a bit confused. After asking the guard, he told us that we were to share a seat until 7.30pm were they then make the beds up for you....

After a not so smooth landing, we arrived in Bangkok airport at around 11pm. We got through customs pretty quick, we were glad we had sorted our visa out in advance as you could get them on arrival but it seemed like a pain in the arse and looked like you had to wait a while! After a rainy week in beautiful Guilin we were ready to head for Hong Kong. We couldnt get a train straight there so we had to get the train to Guangzhou. NEVER AGAIN! Thats all we can say about our experience on the train. It was horrible - but one of those situations where to just have to laugh or you'll end up crying. We were stuck in our seats. The train was getting fuller and fuller at every stop and alot of people hadnt paid for seats, so they try and squeeze onto your seat or one near you, so you cant stretch your legs out or get comfortable.
