Early start this morning, got up at 4:45am to catch a plane down to Abu Simbel, our holidays aren't all sleep ins and buffet breakfasts! It was worth the trip though, the temple was epic and I was even able to get some photos without any people in front of them. The rest of the day was pretty relaxed, checked out of our hotel and into our cruise ships very nice room with its own balcony. It had been an interesting day. The sleeper train was cozy, but definitely better than having to sit up for 16 hours. Philae Temple was beautiful. Matt was asked how many camels it would take to buy me and someone went shopping in Matt's camera bag. Luckily Matt was totally on to him and he didn't get to take anything away. Off to bed now because we have a 5am start because we are flying to Abu Simbel which is apparently the best Egyptian sight on tour. ...

WOW!! Who knew that Egypt was cold, freezing on fact... Well, 12 degrees and really windy! I totally got to cross two things off my bucket list today... Camel riding and seeing the great pyramids. The best bit was that the camel ride was through the Sahara desert right next to a pyramid... Totally awesome. I also got to go inside the third great pyramid and kiss the sphinx. We are now off to catch a sleeper train and head to Aswan for more sightseeing of temp...

I'll try to keep this as short as possible. We weren't looking forward to the first lot of flights which was; Gladstone/Brisbane/Singapore/Dubai/Cairo. We weren't too worried when we had to make a medical emergency landing in Hyderabad, India for a crew member who had become sick.
