Our first time to ever camp off the grid in the RV. We are at a little local park in Forsyth, MT. When I say off the grid that means no water and elec. Not too bad though since we have a generator and the air is going right now as well as water in our holding tanks and a water pump. Hopefully it will cool off once the sun goes down and we will be able to sleep with the windows down. But the area is beautiful. The park is right beside the Yellowstone River...

Today we drove to the far western side of North Dakota. On the way we detoured to see the "enchanted highway". Basically, it was a man who made on huge iron statue and people started coming to see it, so he made another and then another and it grew into a 30 mile stretch of highway with a bunch of super huge metal statues along the way. I have been very impressed with Minnesota and North Dakota. As we drive through the towns in their states, everything is so well manicured, clean and inviting. No cars on blocks, and no run down areas, you can really tell the people of these states take pride in their surroundings. I am also sure that no corn is grown in any other country but the US. We made it to Minnesota today by about 1:30 pm. Minnesota is a very picture perfect state. As we drove through we saw lots of rolling hills filled with dairy cattle and lots of farming. Once we made it to Bloomington we spent part of the afternoon in Mall of America Basicly a huge mall with a large atrium that has an amusement park in it. It was an easy day of travel and then a beautiful day of shopping and enjoying the perfect weather in the area.

After 2 days of pretty heavy driving we made it to Wisconsin Dells, The strip reminds me of Gatlinburg with one store after another. The other strip is more spread out like Pigein Forge but with lots of water parks. Go figure, the summers are so short up here I would not have expected all these water parks. Larry and I did not partake of the strips though, we mainly concentrated on the actual Dells and took a 2 hour boat tour of them. They were quite beaut...
