Arrived in Jasper just before midday. Amazing scenery from the train, and now here around Jasper itself. Going to the pub soon to decide on our activities for the week. Bike ride tomorrow I reckon, followed by cable car up Whistlers Mountain.

A strange and persistent noise from the other side of the room kept me awake half the night (i.e. Dan snoring), so got up at 7-30am and had an hour in the gym, makes up for a few of the beers and large meals. Just checked football scores to see Darlo lost to a last minute goal, b*****s! Oh well, will find a pub to watch Toronto FC later, who we're seeing live in 2 weeks. Maybe they'll score their first goal in 10 games! Probably off round th shops after the break...

Long day yesterday with all the travelling, awake for 27 hours, been to a few bars including some I went to last time. Been up the Vancouver Lookout Tower today, 500ft with 360' views of the city. Took the ferry across the harbour to North Vancouver, went across the Capilano suspension footbridge and forest trek, then started raining but still took cable car up Grouse Mountain where we could see about 50ft instead of a full view of Vancouver and beyond. All packed and ready to go! Vancouver via Amsterdam tomorrow (arrive about midnight British Summer Time). At last..............
