THU 17 SEPT 2015 Set off at 13:00 and called into Bodmin to give Julie her birthday present. Chatted 20 minutes then continued through drizzly Glynn Valley on to Plymouth. Once we had crossed Tamar bridge weather improved and it was a pretty run all the way to Dartmouth. Pitched up at 16:45 and had homemade pasties for dinner. Awake at 06:30. By 07:30 we are ready to make our way to the ferry port. Check in and boarding goes smoothly and as soon as Pont Aven has cast off and we have waved goodbye to France we go to the restaurant for breakfast. Serviced van and left site at 10:20 travelling in convoy with D+J to Worthing. Really pretty ride through sunny Sussex countryside with bright green new growth on trees. Arrived Peacehaven at 12:15. Met Nick and Grete at a pub and had a very good carvery lunch before heading a few miles to Newhaven all excited to be travelling again. Boarded ferry 'Cotes d'Albatre' and sailed 15:40. Crossing flat and sat on deck in sunshine most of the way.

The morning is sunny but cool. At 12:30 we go back to the Mortimer Arms with d*** and Jan, where we are met by Vin and Rose who have come over from Romsey 4 miles away. We receive a Royal send off from the neighbours waving union flags as we drive away. A quick detour to Asda for fuel and we're on our way. Clear traffic for most of the journey.
