Yesterday we stopped off in Byron Bay so we could take a day trip around Nimbin. Nimbin is Australia's Amsterdam a quiet town tucked away about an hour and a half from Byron Bay next to the Nightcap National Park and its dramatic rock face. The old fashioned bus we rode in bopped out some retro tunes for the trip to keep us entertained! We stopped off at a pub on the way to crack some nuts and for those drinking to get some beers. While we were nut cracking some locals found a snake outside the toilet and were carrying it round showing everyone before putting it safely into a pink pillow case to transport to a new home. Nimbin was our next stop where we were able to walk around the small town and visit a museum to look at the artwork and paraphernalia - when I say museum it wasn't quite so typical more of rooms turned into a collage of information. We then had a small walk around the town and got some pies as a quick snack and at 10$ was the deal of the month! Afterwards we headed out of town for a BBQ and then to a secluded waterhole and falls.
