hey guys, am writing this post on my way from hoi an to Hanoi , while i'm sitting on a roller-coaster flight which closely resembles the nightmare Boston-London ride of 200-something (seriously refusing to count as it makes me feel so old).
The pilot calmly addresses the situation with a poised 'ladies and gentlemen, as you can feel we are encountering some moderate turbulence etc etc seatbelt etc etc no panic bla bla bla'. Hey a******, in case you're wondering, the screams you've been hearing for the past 20 minutes are coming from the cabin not from interference in your headset. We've noticed.
By the way, if you think this is moderate I'd really want to sit down and have a chat with you about Hitler's foreign policies.. I 'm sure you think he was pretty laissez faire.
In case you are wondering, I am NOT one of the screamers. It is such a relief to feel like the least crazy person on a flight for once. Don't get me wrong, I am not having a ball either but rather than screaming and panicking I've entered an eerie zen like calm and am sitting here typing away on my Ipad while listening to the doors. Could Jim Mortison's voice have superpowers? I'm starting to wonder!
Anyways I've left Hoi An in beautiful 26 degree weather and I'm heading up to Hanoi where the weather forecasted is thunderstorms, thunderstorms and more delightful thunderstorms with a temperature of 10 degrees celsius.
Hoi An is beautiful, seriously one of the most stunning placesIi've been to ever and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Especially because I was lucky enough to be there during the full moon festival (not the one involving acid and brain cell death), which seriously added charm to the already magical town.
The town is on the beach so I am now sunburnt, but not totally-partially.. one side of my body is Scarlett red and the other is mozzarella white.. strap on a green bikini and I'm a perfectly fine caprese salad.
(Seriously when is this bloody plane landing?? the pilot just flashed the seatbelt signs again in case someone-obviously a deranged drunk- had decided to go for a stroll around the cabin)
I guess the reason behind my sunburn may lay in the fact that yesterday I spent the day between my bed and the hotel spa, due to poor weather conditions, where I got a full body coffee exfoliating scrub from a wonderfully creepy lady which left my skin ultra-sensitive and smelling like a tall frappuccino all day.
Aight, preparing for landing, this should be fun.
If you see this post online it means I made it to the ground safely, in one piece and still breathing. and that I've reached a wifi zone.
Love ya!!
