Hey Mark,
Sorry I've not been in touch so far, although I've managed to keep track of your adventures with this comprehensive blog of yours. The trip sounds great, lovely I should say!
Sadly though you're missing out on all the fun in Manc. Mine and Andrew's birthday celebrations are coming up, and how we'll miss the sweet sound of improvisational sax at 4am. The neighbours maybe not so much.
My band played its first gig the other night too - on a boat in Hamburg on the river Elbe. There were a few minor hiccups but I think it went down well overall. Have a listen if you get a chance, think you'll like it http://www.myspace.com/helpstampoutloneliness. Hope so anyway!
When are you due back, Christmas time? Oh and you're missing out on our tiny little kitten at Keppel Road, it'll be a big crap cat by the time you get back!!

Hi Elain, Ian and boys!
Great to hear from you! The tan has nearly completely faded in the sub-zero temperatures of New Zealand! Nevermind...I fly to Melbourne in three days and will be in Sydney in a couple of weeks so it should start getting warmer from here on!
You'll have help my mum out with the wonders of travel blogs! Hope you are all well?! Keep in touch!

Hello mate, just managed to get round to reading your blog, it sounds like you're having an amazing time....i'm so jealous, especially about the bunging jumping and sky diving, i've always wanted to do something like that.
Looks like you're getting yourself a bit of a tan there, you'll be a bronzed adonis soon.
Don't know if you got my message on Facebook, but basically i'm not going travelling now, lots of reasons, but mainly because i've got a job in Paris so i'll be moving there in September. It's all very exciting apart from the learning French bit of it.
Anyway, hope you're having lots of fun, take care
xx

Hey Ben! Great to hear from you mate. I would definitely love to come to Glastonbury with you net year!! Long overdue in fact. I thik the piece you are referring to is by Terry Riley, a minimalist composer who you might hear alongside Steve Reich, Philip Glass, John Cage etc. Glad you enjoyed it!
