Hi saby,
after new plymouth, we are in napier on east coast. been told storms coming with high wind and a lot of rain... hope not...
last night we were sleeping on carpark on the beach and 15 boyracers came at 1am to play with their car next to the van, I was so scared... They nearly hit the van and crashed behind it onto wood hedges...we called the police from the mobile phone at 2 am scared to be hit. Then one of them kicked against the van and it was horrible, thanks god they left and we drove away as fast as poss.... nice..... attention aux boyracers....
bon voyage et enjoy the snow....

Hey guys! Really nice to meet up with you! I hope you're not getting too cold up there. Here in Nelson, it's quite mild and enjoyable!! We're heading south today and are excited with the skiing coming up, especially Barry! Hope you have a great trip in the north

Thanks Youna for the support, we have been up the mountain again today. I have been doing very well if i do say so myself, linking turns and switch foot slides. However we did have a snow storm all day, so visability was only about 30 metres, great fun until you don't see the bumps of fresh snow and end up doing a face plant!! I'll get there! next time it will be in Europe.
Youna
Come on Marc, you can do it !!! don't be disheartened by your fisrt snowboard experience... I understand you, skiing is not so easy (don't laugh Lili !) Good luck, and go on enjoying your trip, it's a real pleasure to read your travel stories (and to look at your pics, when I don't want to work, it makes me dream !). Bises à vous 2.

right ya buggas. nuff of all this idyllic holiday stuff....get your asses back here and do some work cause this is getting serious. I hear wavelength has fallen fltaon its its face since mark left. Apparently they had nobody there at Cornwall and Devon media anymore to take away all the freebies that arrived in the office, and almost overnight they accumulated to such a massive level that health and safety closed the whole building down due to structural damages. Cornwall And Devon Media swiftly fell into the hands of the receivers and the last rumours were that a small welshman that writes for the pontypridd gazette and brought the lot for £5 of monopoly money. He intends to have all future media in cornwall written in welsh and predicts that the lambing season next spring will be bumper as the corish folk revert to their welsh tendancies... other than that all is good. funny reading about New Zealand. I could have saved you the hassle of going out there and getting cold by simply selling you some of our photos. Let me know if you hit QT and I'll get Katy to email a couple of mates out there to show you around and maybe blag a thing or two (my speciality) Pop into the Internet Depot in Dunedin as well..thats the place that we started! ahh..the memories...no. wrong place, Dunedin was a hole! laters slaters

-gwel-

Norton, we are still alive ....
we were going to leave Nias from Gunung sitoli by ferry and i kept the rumour of a ferry sinking the night before far away from Mark's ears. the ferry we were going to take sank the night before. 40 people are still missing. there were other ferries but Mark thought it was safer to fly again.... so we avoided sibolga that way but spent a lot of our rupiah flying in small plane maybe as dangerous as ferries!!!! at the airport Mark realised he had no money for his flight and the taxi refused to take us to a bank, so I took a crasy decision and jumped on someone motorbike asking a young man to drive me to gunung sitoli to a cash point. i did not even know him, god knows what he could have done to a short white naive French girl going to get cash at the back of his bike!!!! I made it though and got really scared on the way in as he was driving like a nutcase!!!!!
piouh, Sumatra is hardcore!!!!!
