Mary was the first Lady to sail with the Fleet of Ketches off the Coast of Adelaide, her husband had a Ketch whom he inherited off his father. The Ketch boats used to sail across to the larger boats to bring the goods they were carrying back to Port Adelaide before a proper Port was built
