After much trying, I couldn't persuade Mark to stay another night at the nice campsite!! Instead we went in to Townsville and to the beachfront. We walked along the Strand which was beautiful! We woke to hear the pitter patter of rain so were not impressed as we had decided to stay another night at mission beach and have a beach day today! The tide was in so instead of 15 steps to sand, it was 15 steps to water! The sea was really rough and there were plenty of clouds about but that didn't deter us! We stayed anyway!
