Up early again, seem to be making a habit of it!! Hmmm! Left the hostel for our journey back to Emeryville! The journey passed quickly and we didn’t have any hold ups. We were 2 hours early getting back to Emeryville so we went to the hotel to find out what time check in was. As it happened, we were able to check in there and then which was handy as it saved us having to carry our bags far! The hotel was very posh! This was a one off as it was too much hassle to go back into San Francisco and this was the cheapest hotel we could find near to the train station. In fact, we were probably the closest you could get to it, without sleeping in the station itself! It took 2mins from hotel room to station, just over the bridge! The hotel was amazing and was defo the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in! It had a huge king size bed with about 9pillows which was amazingly comfy!! There was a radio with Ipod dock which charged it! A huge tv, air con, a washing line?! And the shower…was out of this world!! Everything was just perfect about it!! Our plan was to chill in the room and make the most of it for the day!! We took the car back and then went for lunch in the international market. They had all types of food, from afghan to Jamaican, Thai and English! Loved it!! We mooched around the small shopping complex and in the book store. We then went in search of the bigger complex which was just down the road. This was a lovely shopping street with many shops. We window shopped before heading back to the other complex to call home. We also enquired about Mark getting a hair cut but it was going to cost $35!!! Far too pricey, I offered to have a go but he declined..not sure why?! We collected all our coins together for Mark to ring his mammy but when you put the coins in they came out the bottom so we ended up spending an hour on the phone to Marks family and about half an hour to my mum n dad because it was free! During our time at the phone box, we observed the fire crew and paramedics dealing with a woman who had had a heart attack while driving. The fire crews seem to respond first over here, no matter what the situation! Very odd! After hogging the phone for so long we went back and chilled in the hotel room. We realized that we hadn’t booked a hostel for our stay in Santa Barbara which is where we are heading tomorrow! After much searching, there didn’t seem to be anywhere to stay so we have changed our travel plans. Tomorrow morning we are heading to LA and instead of Santa Barbara we are considering heading further south to San Diego! We made the most of the hotel facilities and had a much deserved bath!
Up early AGAIN tomorrow for the train to LA! Can’t wait to mingle with the stars!! Hehe!
