Yesterday I picked up my car and today I am already completly on the road!

I was really exited when picking it up and felt kind of helpless because I didn't even know which automatic mode to use. I found out, even found the way back to the Jacobs AND to my travel mate - the we went to a warehouse and to the supermarket and left Auckland!

Yesterday we didn't go that far as it was already quite late, but found a nice and simple camping spot at the beach. We cooked pasta on the gas cooker and spend the first night in my car. The expensive matrass is comfortable, but we had many mosquitos, it was hot and so we didn't sleep that good.

Today we began the day with a beach walk, then a two hour forest walk and at noon we were on the road again - direction Whangarei.

We stopped at a nice beach, had icecream, survived lots of rain while driving, took a crazy road to see a waterfall and went shopping in Whangarei - now my car is perfectly eqipped with everything! I will show you photos as soon as possible.

As it was already late, we went to a more expensive holiday park in Whangarei. For those who aren't already experts: that means showers, a kitchen, wifi and proper toilets.

Tomorrow we are continuing our trip, probably to the Bay of Islands :-)
