I (Maria) was extremely impressed with the gardens around the Quebec Parliament buildings. They were immaculately cared for and very beautiful. They also had a dozen or so herb gardens in lovely huge tubs scattered tastefully about as well as two huge veggie gardens flanking either side of the central stairs. (The whole city has beautiful pots and hanging flowers). They use the fresh herbs and veggies for their restaurant which unfortunately for us was only open during the week.
