Saturday - We rode the tram to HK Peak. What an awesome view of the harbor! We attended a wonderful church service Saturday night. It was much like Gospel Tabernacle in Coudersport but with a Chinese flavor. It is such a blessing to see them praising the Lord with such fervor. Sunday - We rode a sanpan around the older boats and fishing boats. We ate an awesome 7-course meal at the floating restaurant. Wow- the service, the food! We got back to land just in time...

Whew! Busy day! We picked up Nan from the airport, breakfast at Starbucks, and rode a train and ferry to Hong Kong Central City. We walked the streets taking in the sights, sounds, tea, shopping, more Starbucks, etc. It was not quite as hot today since it rained most of the day. Noel got some lovely earrings and we enjoyed the Ladies Market. We were so tired that we all came home and went to bed at 6:00pm! So now I'm up at midnight after my nap. My internal time ...

6/11/09We landed in Hong Kong yesterday!! After landing in Minneapolis, Seattle, and Tokyo. 23+ hours in the air and about 6-7 hours in layovers; very long and tiring flight. So when we get to Hong Kong at 10 o'clock local time, we get a bus to the apartment we're staying at and crashed. Today we went to breakfast and had dim sum at a local restaurant. As obvious minorities and Max's beard, everyone stares and points at us. They are really surprised when Max understands them and converses with them, even with their own accent. We made it!! I felt like those kids in the movie, The Pacifier, when the kids jumped out of the car, kissed the ground, and was thankful to be on land.
