Today was the day of our Jungle Trek and we woke up early to get picked up from our bungalow.. We jumped in the back of a pick-up and there was only 2 other people there - some middle aged German couple. Off we went up to a small group of huts in the jungle where we were shown how to make Thai Red Curry using the raw ingredients and then gotr to try some - bear in mind this is about 9am and were trying a curry which apparently they use around 20 chillies in! It's nice, but really hot! Then we headed off to the Monkey show where we were shown these cool little monkeys that have been taught to climb up coconut trees and get the ripe coconuts down for the locals below, who then use them to make coconut milk, oil and the obvious: The Bounty bar! haven't seen any around tho..?! The monkeys were wicked and we've even got some pics of us with one and feeding it - But were having a few problems trying to upload pics onto some computers in Koh Samui, so keep an eye out.. Next was the Jugle Trek - There were four Elephants in total and we got to ride the younger male one, we knew this as he had an extra leg to stand on, if you know wat i mean! ;-) It was amazing, The elephants are so beautiful, and it was such an amazing experience, (we even fed them banana's which was cool) but we felt really bad like we were exploiting them and one of them looked like he had something wrong with him and They had chains on their feet when they were in the paddock too.. But who cares we had fun! joking!! After this we checked out the Namung waterfall which was huge, it's like 38 meters tall (biggest i've ever seen in real life) and it was so be beautiful too.. again, we have photo's but just bear with us. On Sunday we decided to have an English day and woke up late and went to Churchill's bar - also english run, and we had a Lamb roast dinner with all the trimmings, Even a Yorkshire Pudding!! also taught Mar to play Cribb.. which she kicked my ass at! beginners luck.. Later that evening we watched Arsenal v Man U at an Irish Bar. We won 1-0, get in there! Our First win of the season i think! This morning we got up early and went for a brisk walk (which took 2 hours!) and tonite we're guna treat ourselves to a pizza! CANT WAIT.. oh, and I'm feeling better now, although i have started getting small blisters on my chest and will most likely peel.. :-)..... miss you guys, Lots of Love Mar and Paul XxxX
