So Tuesday was the second day of the Inca Trail and this is the hardest day with the Dead Women's Pass being reached at around 4,200 m above sea level. We started the Inca Trail on Sunday 10th November and it was an early start with us up at 5am for a 5.50am pickup. We jumped on the bus full of anticipation and met the rest of our tour group which totalled 10 of us. After about an hour and a half on the bus, we stopped in a small village for some breakfast and for a chance to pick up anything we might need for the four days ahead. We awoke quite late on Friday morning as we make the most of possible lie-ins before we start the Inca Trail. Wednesday saw us go on the free walking tour around Cusco. Logic would indicate that you should do this when you first arrive in a city but not for us. We decided to do it after around 5 days in the city. Anyways, the tour took us around the main sights of the city and a few of the lesser known sights.
