Today we made our way from Uyuni to Sucre in what turned out to be our most eventful journey yet and which makes ham and cheese sandwichgate look trivial. Today has been our final day on the salt flat tour. The day started with waking up at 5am so that we could see the sunrise over the salt flats. I say 5am but it was really 4.30am given that a jeep from another tour decided to switch his engine on outside our window at that time and start playing some music. A lesson learned was that salt hotels do not have double glazing!! After prising our eyes open, we headed off onto the salt flats to watch the sun rise. ...

Our third day on the salt flat tour was another early start at 6.30am and we left our accommodation at 7.30am for another full day of sightseeing. We slept quite well in the homestay accommodation even though it was quite cold through the night. I think the 3 blankets we had each helped. The second day of the Salt Flats your has been equally as interesting as the first. It's been a long day with us setting off at about 7.30am and arriving in our accommodation for the night at 6pm. We must have travelled a significant distance along mostly dusty and rocky roads but it was worth it for some of the sights we have seen. Wow. I think that is all that can be said for our first day on the salt flat tour from Tupiza. I will try to elaborate more as it would be a pretty rubbish blog with only one word!!!
