Arrived in KL for a very boring 8 hour wait. Tried to find out about a transit tour of the city but I think it's holiday cover staff here tonight I just kept being passed from one desk to another and finally they just said you need to go outside. With no visa I wanted more than that and by this time there was not really enough time given that it's rush hour. So I've been searching for a seat finally found one with a coffee for 4 dollars which seems extortionate after the prices I've been paying. Lovely goodbye from the staff at globalteer and then at the New Year party. About 150 children ranging in age from 5 to 16 having fun playing simple games tigers and crocodiles, egg and spoon races and burst the balloon . Stop for refreshments - drink of orange sponge cake and an orange and they were thrilled. All wearing new t shirts and so proud. Tearful moment when my favourite lad came to thank me and when I said what a good student he is he explained he has only his mum and is the oldest of 4 so he is determined to give them all a better life. Will look into sponsoring him somehow.
This is really a bore the airport is dead and I've still got 5 hours before my flight. The shops are all designer and not of any interest and I can't get Internet.
Carrying far too much hand luggage since I had to take 2 kilos out of my case before the check in would accept it so took out books and electrics but now lugging them around!
Arrived in Heathrow 6am Saturday been travelling 24 hours and still have to get into London and home it's freezing here!!!
