We are half way there! We have about two hours in the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris before we have our final and longest leg of our journey. It was an uneventful flight across the Atlantic with a beautiful sunset over Greenland. The airport in Paris is a bit of a zoo - lots of people going every which way. We had to take two trams to get to the proper terminal here in Paris and then walk a ways going through a full security check point (shoes off, jacket off, bags and us scanned and a full pat down) before eventually arriving at our gate.
FYI, though the security checkpoint was a surprise given that we'd just gotten off a plane, Nathan was particularly impressed at how thorough/professional and friendly their security staff were, compared to the folks we're used to Stateside.
Two disappointments in our short French fly-over for Christy were the fact that she never saw the Eiffel Tower from the plane (despite much trying) and that we didn't pick anything up from the patisserie since we had no euros. :-(
