The Pantheon was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa as a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome. The building is circular with a portico of large granite Corinthian columns 39 feet tall, five feet in diameter, and 60 tons in weight and came from a quarry in Egypt. The inscription reads MáAGRIPPAáLáFáCOSáTERTIUMáFECIT, Marcus Agrippa, son of Lucius, made this building when consul for the third time
